Guidelines for Submission of Manuscripts for consideration under KCIAPM Award oral paper

Pre-registration for KAPCON 2026 conference is mandatory for abstract submission.
Entire manuscript needs to be submitted, abstracts are not considered. The research work should be carried out in India
The type of manuscript : ONLY original studies are considered for the award paper
The principal presenter/author will submit a statement from his /her co-author (if any) supporting his /her candidature for award.
All candidates should submit a full length text of the research work to be presented in the form of a manuscript for publication.
The Manuscript should be uploaded online on KCIAPM website - kciapm.org and will not be accepted on emails or through any other mode. Modification may be done till the deadline.
All manuscripts received will be duly acknowledged. On submission, scientific committee will review all submitted manuscripts for suitability for formal review by the experts. Manuscripts with insufficient originality, serious scientific or technical flaws, or lack of a significant message will be rejected before proceeding for formal peer-review.
Upon review, those that are not considered under KCIAPM Award Paper category, will automatically be forwarded to the KAPCON 2026 scientific committee for consideration under KAPCON 2026 oral paper category
Only five papers each from faculty and PG category under KCIPAM award Paper will be considered for presentation on the first day of the conference.
Submission of the manuscript carries with it an obligation to present the accepted manuscript in person without any change in scientific content during the allotted time in the conference.
Withdrawal of presentation is not allowed after manuscript submission.
If the presenting author is not able to present the paper at the conference due to any reason, prior permission must be obtained from the Scientific Committee regarding the change in the presenting author.
Only one winning paper from each category will be awarded the prize money along with a certificate during the valedictory event of KAPCON 2026.
The remaining four papers that did not qualify for the award from both categories will be given a chance to present, under their respective categories of KAPCON oral paper, on the 2nd day of conference and compete under the KAPCON oral paper event.
Manuscripts must be structured and submitted according to guidelines given below

should be submitted in the form of two separate files

File 1: Covering letter

This file should provide

The type of manuscript: ONLY original studies are considered for the award paper.
Title of the manuscript, running title, names of all authors/ contributors (with their highest academic degrees, designation and affiliations) and name(s) of department(s) and/ or institution(s) to which the work should be credited.
All information which can reveal your institute affiliation should be here.
Use text/rtf/doc files. Do not zip the files;
Registration number in case of a clinical trial and where it is registered (name of the registry and its URL)
It should include a statement that the manuscript has been read and approved by all the authors.
The name, address, e-mail, and telephone number of the corresponding author should be included.

File 2: Blinded Article file

The main text of the article, beginning from Abstract till References (including tables) should be in this file.
The file must not contain any mention of the authors’ names or initials or the institution at which the study was done or acknowledgements.
Manuscripts not in compliance with the blinding policy will be returned to the corresponding author.
Use rtf/doc files. Do not zip the files. Limit the file size to 1 MB.
Do not incorporate images in this file. If file size is large, graphs can be submitted as images separately without incorporating them in the article file to reduce the size of the file.
The pages should be numbered consecutively, beginning with the first page of the blinded article file.
Images: Submit good quality colour images. Each image should be less than 2 MB in size. Size of the image can be reduced by decreasing the actual height and width of the images (keep up to 1600 x 1200 pixels or 5-6 inches). Images can be submitted as jpeg files. Do not zip the files. Legends for the figures/images should be included at the end of the article file.
Original articles: The text of original article amounting to up to 5000 words (excluding Abstract, references and Tables) should be divided into sections with the headings Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Tables and Figure legends.
Abstract: A structured abstract should be limited to 300 words
Keywords: Five keywords
