About JSS Hospital & Medical College
JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER)
JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. This deemed-to-be university is recognized by Ministry of Education and accredited by NAAC with A++ Grade (3.61 CGPA). JSS AHER has been graded as Category -I Deemed-to-be University by UGC. JSS Medical College & Hospital
JSS Medical College is a constituent college of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research Accredited A++ Grade by NAAC. It is an eminent medical education institution located at Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagara, Mysuru, Karnataka, India. The college was established in 1984 which aims to impart excellent quality medical education that markedly improves the health sector and cater to the needs of all strata of society. In recognition to the services provided in medical education, research and health care, JSS Medical College has bagged 37th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), 2023. The JSS hospital serves the ever increasing health care needs of Mysore and the surrounding population of five districts. The motto of the hospital is to uphold the value of human life and provide advanced care at affordable price to the indigent section of society. JSS Hospital has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Health Care providers.
Department of Pathology
The department of Pathology was established in the year 1984. It has Histopathology, Cytology, Hematology, Clinical laboratory, and Blood transfusion divisions supported by state-of-the-art technology and teaching infrastructure to ensure and facilitate quality laboratory practice. It is well recognized for its committed approach towards providing accurate and timely diagnostic services. The department of pathology, a part of JSSHLS (JSS Hospital Laboratory services), holds NABL accreditation in compliance with ISO 15189: 2022 guidelines. Our aim is to have a department with holistic emphasis on education, diagnostics, and research to embrace the rapidly changing scenario of laboratory medicine.
